Logan has been a DJ since 1980. As DJ Jacky's Jukebox she has been running a regular Ballroom and Latin
dance night at the Rivoli Ballroom on the First Saturday of the months
since 1996. She also runs the Pink Jukebox Dance Club
with Ralf Schiller.
Jacky's DJ skills include encouraging the
participants to join in with the dancing. As part of the function, she
can lead demonstrations that will introduce beginners to the magic of
partner dance. She facilitates learning of basic steps as part of any
Country & Western Line dance, Basic Argentinean Tango, Ballroom
& Latin Dance, 70's line dance, Old Time sequences, Basic Salsa.

This event is a mixed gay/straight evening on the first Saturday of the month and regularly attracts 200 to 300 people each month. Jacky manages the floor with panache. One minute there is a beautiful waltz and the next there will be 100 people on the dance floor doing a line dance to Saturday Night fever. You can dance round this fabulous traditional ballroom preserved just as it was in the 30's. Dancing includes Salsa, Ballroom, Latin, Country, 70's line dances, Old time and Argentinean Tango. It is a very mixed & friendly environment. There are no classes. The music is mixed to cover from the 1930s through to current chart hits.

Jacky is the Co-founder and runs the Pink Jukebox, with Ralf Schiller. This is a Ballroom and Latin Dance club for Lesbians and Gay men and their friends based in the centre of town. The music is a great mix from the 30's to the present day. It's a great place to meet new friends and you do not need a partner. Dance Classes are provided by Ralf, who also runs Kensington Dance Studio .
Jacky has DJ'd for several open air dance events at the Bow Community Festival and at the bandstand in West Ham Park. She is a regular at The Broadwalk Ballroom in Regents Park. This is an open air dance extravaganza is not to be missed. Ballroom and latin lessons are provided in the open air, come rain or shine by Kele Baker and Ralf from the Kensington dance studio. People picnic by the side of the high class outdoor floor and enjoy the fabulous sounds from DJ 'Jacky's Jukebox'. A cabaret is always on the menu.

Many a quiet library has been enlivened with book addicts transformed into dancers for the day at Jacky's Tea Dances! Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest and Newham Library Services have booked Jacky to play music, run quizes, teach a few steps, take music reminiscence and dance history sessions and generally involve people in a love of music and dance.

Comparing with bands is something that Jacky is well known for. She worked with Deidre Cartwright and Alison Raynor to put on the very first Emma Peel Fan Club gig in 1996. Sixties and seventies retro is just her style. She can warm up the audience by demonstrating a few retro line dances or getting people up on stage for a dance contest. She can MC for large charity events.
Jacky provided the music for the very first Stonewall Equality Grand Ball in 1996 and has been managing large functions since then. She compared and played music for the Ballroom and Latin Dance Event in the Clore Ballroom in the Royal Festival Hall in 2008. She can entertain large crowds and is expert at providing DJ and MC Services for formal occasions. Corporate functions with a theme are a speciality. She has worked at the Hurlingham Club as a DJ.
Jacky is available to provide a fantastic range of music for ballroom and latin dance holidays. She has guested at the Piccadilly Hotel Bournmouth providing entertainment and music weekend dance holidays. For the last 15 years she has hosted the evening functions at the Laurieston Dance-A-Rama at Laurieston Hall in Scotland.This fun event is a chance to have fun while you improve or learn new dances with excellent teaching and a different themed dance each night.. details from : John Henry email@example.com
Jacky has provided a mix of music for many Weddings and Civil Partnership Ceremonies. Her expertise in bring together different generations on the dance floor are always welcome. She has a wide range of music from disco classics to reggae and salsa, and of course can cater for more specialist tastes line Argentian Tango and country and western or Old time dancing. She has even been known to call for a few scotish counrt dances!
Jacky is experienced in providing music for, and coordinating The Annual PINK JUKEBOX TROPHY. It is one of the largest International Same-Sex ballroom and Latin dance competitions in Europe, held at the Rivoli Ballroom in the third week in February. More information. Jacky is a regular performer with The Pink Dancers - a gay ballroom & latin dance formation group. She has travelled the globe, to Copenhagen, Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris & other cities to host events and perform with them. They were a big hit on the stage of the MOVE IT festival at Earls Court in 2008. They were part of The Trafalgar Square Festival and The River Cultures Festival in 2006. The Choreographer & founder of the group is Ralf Schiller. The Pink Dancers were formed in 1992 and is made up of quality amateur dancers who come together to weave intricate patterns on the dance floor, often changing partners & breaking down traditional gender restrictions, presenting different combinations of leading & following roles, incorporating women leading men, women leading women, men leading men etc.
